Updated October 13, 2026. This article has been revised to reflect current Luobinsen product information.
Pantograph charging supports electric-bus operations at depots and route-end locations. Luobinsen’s current pantograph charging range includes both downward and upward connection types, with applications covering overnight and opportunity charging. Selecting the appropriate arrangement starts with the vehicles, the available charging locations and the fleet’s operating schedule.
Choose the appropriate pantograph connection
The Downward Pantograph and Upward Pantograph product pages identify their respective connection types and fixed installation requirements. The Downward Pantograph page also describes automatic pantograph lifting. Review the charging interface and installation layout together with the vehicle requirements before selecting a configuration.
Plan equipment and platform integration
The current product specifications list a touchscreen interface, RFID, network connectivity and OCPP platform communication. These features should be considered alongside the charging management platform and the site’s communication infrastructure. Confirm the required network options and platform compatibility for the selected configuration as part of the project specification.
Review the installation and operating requirements
Luobinsen’s product pages provide sections covering electrical requirements, interface and control, environmental conditions, installation and safety protection. Use the applicable product documentation to check the proposed charging location and operating conditions, and confirm the final configuration with Luobinsen before procurement.
For a fleet charging project, review the current pantograph charging products and discuss the vehicles, charging locations and operating requirements with the Luobinsen team. A project-specific review helps establish which equipment and integration options are appropriate for the fleet.
